Aja E. began their career in 2005 as a Marketing Associate and Financial Analyst for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where they managed marketing campaigns, designed pitchbooks, coordinated RFPs, and produced portfolio analyses for $1.75 billion in new business deals. In 2009, they joined Eli Lilly and Company as a pre-MBA fellow and Senior Global Marketing Manager, where they developed the brand and marketing strategy for the global launch of a $2B pharmaceutical brand in 50+ countries. In 2010, they took on an internship at Procter & Gamble as an Assistant Brand Manager, where they created the strategic merchandising and digital marketing plans responsible for growing market share by 15% of a $1B iconic brand and drove $10M in incremental annual revenue through the branded refresh of a stagnant product line. In 2011, they interned at eBay as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, where they developed the online marketing strategy and business development pipeline for the launch of the $250M eBay Fashion Outlet and created digital, marketing, and branding strategies to optimize performance of the top performing branded hubs. In 2012, they joined Gilt as an Integrated Marketing & Brand Strategy Manager and led the strategy, development, and execution of $100M in annual company-wide digital campaigns with the objective of increasing revenue to prepare for a $1B IPO. Aja then moved to Ralph Lauren as a Global Digital, Brand & Marketing Strategy Manager, where they oversaw the digital branding, marketing, content, and social strategy for the $600 million e-Commerce portfolio. In 2015, they joined Pernod Ricard as a Brand Marketing Strategy Manager, and in 2016, they became a Brand Marketing Consultant at The Walt Disney Company, where they advised Adventures by Disney on their top of the funnel marketing strategy with a focus on visual search, social media, and influencer marketing. Finally, in 2021, Aja E. joined Bloomi as their Chief Marketing Officer, where they guide the VC-backed intimate health and sexual wellness brand to the next level of growth via multi-channel distribution. As head of marketing, retail, and strategy, they oversee the entire marketing function, budget, and team, and leads full-funnel marketing strategy and execution, including GTM and new product launches along with paid and organic multi-channel growth and retention marketing.
Aja E. holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Spelman College, a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and has completed certifications in Design Leadership and Design Thinking from Stanford University and a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Additionally, they have studied Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
