Adam Sharkawy is the Founder and Managing Partner of Material Impact, a role held since 2015, focused on developing innovative material science-based technologies to address significant unmet needs. In addition, Sharkawy serves on the Board of Directors for several companies, including Nauticus Robotics, Inc., Nohbo, Bloomer Tech, Talus Renewables, GenPhoenix, DetraPel, Tierra Biosciences, Jump Aero Incorporated, and Lynq Technologies, Inc. Academically, Sharkawy holds a Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The American University in Cairo, and has completed two years of pre-medicine studies at the University of Delaware, as well as additional education at Stanford University.
