Samuel Șerban is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Engineering Team Lead at Bloomberg LP since February 2014. Samuel has successfully established a Reliability (SRE) team in Hong Kong, significantly reducing incidents within the Market Data pipeline, and has also temporarily led the APAC Engineering department during the Covid pandemic, prioritizing employee well-being and business continuity. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg, where Samuel developed a fault-tolerant system for real-time financial analytics, and software development positions at iQuest Group, ROUTE 66, and Mira Telecom. Samuel holds a Master's degree in Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems and an Engineer's degree in Electronics and Computer Networks from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
