Leah Shaffer is a scientist and business executive who has held several positions in the cannabis industry. Leah is currently with Bloom Health Partners, though their role is unknown. Leah was previously the Chief Science Officer at Steep Hill from December 2019 to May 2020. Prior to that, they were the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Nascient Labs from January 2018 to December 2019.
Shaffer has also taught college classes, including Physical Science 101 and Chemistry 110 as an adjunct professor at San Bernardino Valley College from August 2016 to December 2016. At Nascient, they were also the VP of Lab Development from January 2018 to December 2019.
Her previous experience also includes working as the Scientific Director at CannaSafe Analytics from October 2015 to November 2017. In this role, they were responsible for instrumentation, lab management, and compliance with various standards and regulations.
Leah Shaffer has a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Idaho, a BA in Chemistry from California State University-San Bernardino, and an Associate's Degree in Chemistry from San Bernardino Valley College. Leah also attended Imperial Valley College and Lincoln County High School.
