Bryan Blancke has a wealth of experience in the automotive cybersecurity field. In 2021, they began their current role as Director of Labs at Block Harbor Cybersecurity, where they are responsible for managing the teams and company's success in vehicle security testing, labs service engagements, and product development. In 2022, they became a Senior Instructor at Auto-ISAC, where they are a course content developer and learning platform developer for the Automotive ISAC's Advanced Cybersecurity Training (ACT) initiative. Bryan has also been a competitor at the DEF CON Car Hacking Village CTF, achieving third place in 2018 and 2019 and second place in 2020-2022. Bryan is also a Sponsor at MidWest InfoSec, LLC and a Researcher at Automotive Security Research Group (ASRG). Additionally, they support the Cyber Auto Challenge and CyberTruck Challenge as an industry partner and student mentor. Prior to this, they worked at General Motors from 2013-2019, where they held roles such as Product Cybersecurity, Controls Integration Engineer, and Vehicle Electrification and Electronic Systems Engineering Intern. In 2012, they worked as a Hardware Design Intern at GE Aviation.
Bryan Blancke received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. Prior to that, they attended Oakland University from 2008 to 2009. In addition, they hold certifications from (ISC)2, Stanford University, General Motors, and IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Stanford Advanced Computer Security Certificate, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Black-Belt Certification, and IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
