Here, they managed the North American supply chain, including global sourcing, contract manufacturing management, inventory management, and logistics. Shawn also oversaw relationships with contract manufacturers and managed production at co-packers.
Before joining Turtle Wax, Shawn worked at PepsiCo, where they held multiple roles. As the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Optimization, they focused on driving productivity improvements and optimizing the supply chain network. Shawn also utilized Lean Six Sigma techniques to deliver productivity projects. Shawn also served as the Manager of Supply Chain Planning for the Tropicana brand, where they were responsible for capacity planning, product supply, and coordinating the S&OP process.
Prior to their time at PepsiCo, Shawn worked at Diageo as the Materials Manager and SAP Local Implementation Manager. In this role, they coordinated the overall supply chain flow of materials, including packaging materials and ingredients. Shawn also played a role in supplier selection and development. Earlier in their tenure at Diageo, Shawn served as the Production Planner/Scheduler, where they implemented monthly master scheduling and developed the weekly S&OP process.
Shawn's earlier experience includes roles at Consolidated Container Company, where they served as a Material & Production Planner, Production Supervisor, and Industrial Engineer. Shawn was responsible for planning and coordinating production, ensuring quality standards, and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
Shawn began their career at Armin Molding Corp. as a Quality Engineer/Assistant Production Supervisor, where they conducted process capability studies and supervised production teams.

Shawn Batka, CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, has a strong education background. Shawn obtained their MBA with a focus on Finance from DePaul Driehaus College of Business from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, specializing in Applied Engineering & Operations Management, from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale between 1990 and 1994.
In addition to their academic achievements, Shawn has obtained several certifications in the field of supply chain and logistics. Shawn acquired the Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) certification from APICS in December 2016. In August 2012, they received the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Accenture. Shawn also holds the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation from APICS, which they obtained in December 2008. Prior to that, in January 2002, they achieved the Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification from APICS. Furthermore, they completed the Global Sourcing Workshop and received a certificate from APICS in November 2008.
