Matteo Miazzo has had a diverse work experience. Matteo began their career in 2013 as a Teaching Assistant and Student Research Assistant at Haverford College. In 2014, they became a Student Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where they developed computational video analysis techniques. In 2015, they joined Epic as an HL7 (Health Level 7) Interface Engineer, where they created new functionality for differentiating between and processing sex and gender identity for incoming and outgoing HL7 interfaces. In 2018, they joined Blinkfire Analytics, Inc. as a Software Engineer Intern, and then later as a Software Engineer. In this role, they designed and implemented a new computer vision pipeline and model which identifies objects of interest on FIBA/NBA basketball courts, NHL hockey rinks, and MLS soccer stadiums. Matteo also proposed and developed new features and UI redesign for in house image/video annotation application, and designed and implemented a unique task identifier system.
Matteo Miazzo attended Haverford College from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. In 2014, they completed a study abroad program at the University of Aberdeen in Physics. In 2017, they earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago.
