Chris Solaro, MD, PhD, CPE has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Chris started their career in 2000 as the Medical Director of Emergency Services at Hannibal Regional Hospital. In 2003, they became the Medical Director at Marion County Ambulance District. Then, in 2005, they joined Blessing Hospital as an Emergency Medicine Physician. From 2007 to 2015, they served as the Associate Medical Director - Emergency Services at Blessing Health System. In 2015, they were promoted to Chief of Medicine at Blessing Health System and held this position until 2021. Currently, they serve as the Chief Medical Officer at Blessing Health System. Additionally, in 2018, they also took on the role of Executive Director at Crossriver Quality Health Partners.
Chris Solaro, MD, PhD, CPE pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, from 1984 to 1988. Chris then continued their education at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis from 1988 to 1996, completing both a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Following this, they attended UT Southwestern Medical Center from 1996 to 2000, although specific degrees or fields of study were not mentioned.
