Victoria Smith Hussain, PhD has a diverse work experience in the fields of algorithm engineering, biomedical engineering, and research.

Starting from 2023, they work as a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Blast Motion, Inc.

From 2021 to 2023, Victoria worked at Masimo as a Senior Algorithm Engineer. In this role, they led a team of four engineers in developing signal processing algorithms for Masimo W1, a health tracking watch. Victoria also created project roadmaps and mentored junior engineers.

From 2020 to 2021, they served as the Director of Biomedical Engineering and Research at Force Impact Technologies Inc.

Additionally, Victoria worked as an Engineering and Administrative Support at Biorec Biomechanics Research & Consulting in 2014 and as an Undergraduate Researcher at La Belle Labs at Arizona State University from 2012 to 2014.

Victoria started their career as a Data Entry Clerk and an Engineering Intern at Arizona State University in 2011 and 2009 respectively.

Victoria Smith Hussain, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of bioengineering and biomedical engineering. Victoria began their academic journey at Arizona State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering in 2014. This laid the foundation for their further studies in the field.

Continuing their education at Arizona State University, Victoria pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on biomechanics. Victoria successfully completed this program in 2016, further deepening their understanding of the subject.

Their passion and commitment to furthering their knowledge and expertise led Victoria to embark on a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Arizona State University. This rigorous program spanned from 2014 to 2019.
