James Spencer is an experienced professional in the field of ultrasonic inspection and non-destructive testing, currently serving as the Blade Operations Manager at Bladefence since April 2014. In this role, James has taken on various responsibilities, including project management and technical work related to the inspection and repair of composite wind turbine blades across Europe and North America. Prior to Bladefence, James worked as a Composite Research and NDT Engineer at GKN Aerospace, where expertise in phased array ultrasonic inspection of aerospace components was developed. James began a professional career as a Technician Apprentice at Gurit from August 2007 to June 2012. Educational qualifications include a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Isle of Wight College and a Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing from BINDT.
