Maori Karmael Holmes serves as the Chief Executive & Artistic Officer at BlackStar since January 2020. In addition to this role, Maori held positions as Curator-at-Large for Film at Penn Live Arts from March 2020 to November 2023 and as Mediamaker-in-Residence at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania during the same period. Previously, from January 2016 to January 2018, Maori was the Director of Public Engagement at the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania.
