Erik Shuttlesworth is a software engineer at BlackRock since April 2018, where key contributions include implementing a distributed data communications platform, developing entity ID mapping mechanisms, and designing a health check system. Erik has played a significant role in mentoring junior engineers and conducting interviews, while also creating a modular, scalable Angular application. Previously, Erik served as a teaching fellow at Fullstack Academy, focusing on debugging and mentoring 17 students, and managed multiple student projects. An early career included roles as a delivery driver at Domino's, an inventory auditor at RGIS, a translator at COLOPL Inc., a project coordinator at KOG Japan, and an English teacher at Mac's Language School. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Mississippi and attended Fullstack Academy in 2017 for further education.
