Iain Waugh is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in electronics and hardware design. Currently serving as the Engineering Manager at Blackmagic Design since November 2012, Iain has established and managed the Sydney office while implementing innovative real-time video algorithms and hardware architectures. Prior to this role, Iain held several crucial positions at Finisar Corporation, including Principal Electronics Engineer, where new high-speed analog and digital solutions were developed, and Hardware Development Engineering Manager, overseeing electronic systems within ROADM products. Additional experience includes senior electronics engineering roles at RBN, Fujitsu Australia, and KeyCorp, where significant contributions were made in VHDL design and high-complexity electronic systems. Iain Waugh earned a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering and Microelectronics from The University of Edinburgh.
