Makpal Aitkazi's work experience starts with their current position as a DevOps Engineer at BBI since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at Capgemini from June 2019 until August 2021. Before joining Capgemini, they were a DevOps Engineer at Fifth Third Bank from July 2018 to June 2019. Their earliest known role was as a System Administrator at Walgreens from March 2017 to June 2018.

Makpal Aitkazi has a Bachelor's degree from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2016. Makpal also received a HUSTEP Scholarship/Bachelor's degree from Hokkaido University in 2015 and 2016. In addition, they attended Lanzhou University for a Summer School program in 2013. Makpal has further enhanced their credentials through additional certifications, including becoming a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) from The Linux Foundation in December 2021 and a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) from The Linux Foundation in September 2020. Makpal has also obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2020.
