Russ Carlson currently serves as President of North America's Higher Education division at Blackboard, Inc., a position held since August 2002, where responsibilities include overseeing Blackboard's Higher Education clients in the region. Prior experience includes leadership roles as VP of Sales at e-Steel and Oracle, the latter focusing on the Process Industry Vertical, and a District Sales Manager position at Manugistics. Russ began a career at IBM as a Systems Engineering Manager from 1984 to 1989. Russ holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Systems from Taylor University, earned between 1976 and 1980.
