Rory started their career as the Director of Engineering Development at Phoenix Technologies, where they led a worldwide corporate reengineering effort and directed projects for leading computer manufacturers.
Rory then joined Lucent Technologies / Octel Communications as the Director of Software Development, where they ran day-to-day operations and led the development of the company's most important product line.
Rory later became the Senior Director of Commerce Network Engineering at Electron Economy, Inc., where they co-conceived and developed an Enterprise Application Integration product for SONY PlayStation, supporting high consumer demand.
Rory then held roles as the Vice President of Engineering at Onmobile Systems, Inc., the Vice President of Sales and Operations at bigwheels.net, and the Senior Director of Server Systems Engineering at InnoPath Software.
Rory also worked as the Senior Director of Engineering and the Senior Director of Server Systems Engineering at InnoPath Software, leading the development of commercial-grade products and driving significant revenue growth.
Rory then joined salesforce.com as the Senior Director of Engineering, where they directed all mobile engineering and played a key role in the development and delivery of new application releases.
Rory also served as the Senior Vice President of Technology and General Manager at Iventa Corporation, leading a team in the US and India to deliver commercial websites and e-commerce platforms for Fortune 500 companies.
Rory then worked as a Consultant at IT Project Methods, Inc., where they conducted market research and developed new websites for IT consulting companies.
Currently, Rory is working as the Director of Software Engineering at Blackboard Connect, where they lead a team of engineers in creating and delivering new mobile mass notification software products and directing core SaaS application rewrite and API projects for education and government users.
