Alicia N. is an accomplished educator and leader with extensive experience in promoting racial equity and transformative justice. As the Founder and Lead Equity Officer at alicia Who Learns since January 2014, Alicia has spearheaded initiatives based on the belief that "she who learns, teaches." In addition to this role, Alicia serves as a speaker for the Black Speakers Collection and as a trainer and consultant with the Center for Racial Justice in Education, facilitating professional development for K-12 educators. Alicia's expertise extends to affiliations with the Interaction Institute for Social Change and past roles as a Senior Partner for Transforming Education, Inc., and a Deeper Learning Equity Fellow at Big Picture Learning. Alicia held the position of Founding School Leader at KIPP San Antonio Public Schools. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Curriculum Theory and Africana Studies, as well as multiple advanced degrees and certificates from prestigious institutions.
