Chris Plaisance, PhD, MBA, has extensive experience in healthcare IT leadership, currently serving as Business Intelligence Director and CIO at Black River Memorial Hospital since February 2016. Prior roles include Executive Director and CIO at Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services, where Chris oversaw a complete system overhaul, and Executive Director of IT at Carle Foundation Hospital. With a strong background in managing IT solutions, Chris spent over a decade at Aspirus Inc. as Director of IT Solutions, effectively managing a significant capital and operational budget to enhance patient care across multiple healthcare facilities. Additionally, Chris held leadership positions on various boards, including the Wausau Conservatory of Music and Woodson YMCA, and began a career in technology as a Systems Engineer with Plexus and as a Sonar Technician in the US Navy. Educational credentials include a PhD in Health Services from Capella University and an MBA in Value Stream from Lakeland University.
