Amanda Melo has over 17 years of work experience in finance and operations. Amanda began their career in 2003 as an Assistant Controller at Richard Heimberg General Building Contractor. In 2005, they became an Accountant at Beans, where they managed transactions, accounts payable/accounts receivable, financial statements, and recorded transactions. In 2009, they moved to 5th International US, Inc. as a Senior Accountant, where they directed all financial transactions, processed payroll, and prepared all financial reports. In 2010, they took on a contract role as Accounting Manager at Remodista, where they helped rebuild the company from the ground up and managed all human resource functions. In 2012, they joined MitchelLake Group as Director of Finance and Operations, where they were responsible for board reporting, state and federal compliance, forecasting tools, and cash management. In 2015, they took on a contract role as Director of Operations and Finance at Vessl, where they established all accounting processes, forecasting tools, and reporting capabilities. Finally, in 2019, they joined Black Mountain Dynamics as Director of Finance and Operations.
Amanda Melo obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Francisco State University's Lam Family College of Business between 2003 and 2005. Prior to this, they attended Santa Barbara City College from 2001 to 2003, studying Accounting. In 2019, they obtained two certifications from Palo Alto Networks, an Accredited Systems Engineer (PSE) - Foundation and an Accredited Sales Executive (ASE) - Foundation.
