Ground engaging wear parts encompass cutting edges, blades, teeth, adapters and other miscellaneous wear parts for earth moving machinery such as bulldozers, loaders, excavators, motor scrapers, motor graders, and snow plows. Well known manufacturers of this type of equipment are Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Case New Holland and Hitachi plus many others.

The two aspects of the Group Engagement Tool (GET) market can easily be understood as “Cutting Edges” (products which would include cutting edges, blades and other parts manufactured from hot rolled bar and plate steel) while the other GET market can be referred to as “Wear Parts”. The Wear Parts product groups include bucket teeth, adapters, and other specialty cast steel products produced in a foundry operation.
