Bogdan Botezatu is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in threat research and analysis. Since May 2008, Bogdan has served as the Director of Threat Research and Reporting at Bitdefender, overseeing critical responsibilities within the organization. Previously, Bogdan managed a team of threat researchers focused on identifying and documenting sophisticated cyber threats. Early in the career, Bogdan worked as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, researching advanced e-threats across PC and mobile platforms and engaging with key IT publications. Prior to joining Bitdefender, Bogdan gained valuable experience as a System Administrator at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, where responsibilities included designing and maintaining a complex network infrastructure. Educational qualifications include a Networking Associate Certificate from the Cisco Networking Academy Program and a degree from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași.
