Gerard Bas has been working in the IT industry since 2000. From 2000 to 2013, they worked as an IT Manager for Kontrelmec, a company engaged in the manufacturing of machinery for Flexible Packaging, Converting and Coating-Laminating. In this role, they were responsible for BackOffice management, Communication management, IT Budgets, and reporting directly to the CEO. Gerard also designed and developed custom modules for Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP (NAVISION). In 2013, they began working as an Enterprise BI Architect and Senior BI Consultant & Project Manager for Bismart, Business Intelligence Specialist Services. In this role, they were responsible for Design and Development of Business Intelligence Solutions, ETL, Datawarehouse, Analytical Models, Reporting, Dashboards and Scorecards. Additionally, they designed and developed Proof of Concepts based on Microsoft Business Intelligence Technologies. In 2013, Gerard Bas also began working as a Freelance IT & Dynamics NAV Consultant, where they were responsible for Design and Development of Dynamics NAV ERP solutions based on Manufacturing and Finance, using . NET, data manipulation and 3D Solid Modeling Software.

Gerard Bas completed a degree in Eng. Tècnica en Informàtica de Gestió from Universitat de Girona from 1996 to 2001. Gerard then completed a certification in Optimització de la Gestió del Dept. de TI from Institut Català de Tecnologia in 2005. In October 2022, Gerard obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft. Gerard then obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification from Microsoft in December 2022.
