Dana Schaar Jahner currently serves as the Community Relations Manager for Bismarck Parks and Recreation District since April 2021. Prior to this role, Dana was the Vice President of Operations & Finance at Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota from January 2020 to March 2021. Dana's extensive experience also includes serving as the Executive Director of the North Dakota Recreation & Park Association from 2007 to January 2020, the Vice President at Clearwater Communications, and the Executive Director of the North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations, all held from 2006 to January 2020. Earlier career positions include Curator of Education at Fort Caspar Museum (2001-2006) and Education Coordinator at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum (2000-2001). Dana holds a Master's degree in Museum and Field Studies with an emphasis in History from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Political Science from North Dakota State University.
