Thomas Fischer is a seasoned sourcing professional with extensive experience in the materials and chemicals sector. Currently serving as the Head of Sourcing Synthetics & Chemicals at BIRKENSTOCK since November 2020, Thomas Fischer specializes in the sourcing of various materials including rubber, TPU, EVA outsoles, EVA granules, PUR, and adhesives. Prior to this role, Thomas Fischer held multiple positions at TMD Friction from August 2013 to October 2020, including Sourcing Strategy Lead for OE backing plates and accessories, as well as Senior Category Purchasing Manager for IAM, overseeing global direct material sourcing and the factored goods team.
