Timothy Moon is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in DSP and FPGA design, currently serving as a Senior DSP/FPGA Engineer at Bird Technologies since March 2016. Prior roles include ASIC/FPGA Engineer at ViaSat, where design work encompassed Ka Cover frame Header processing and a DVB-S2 Transport Upgrade module, as well as DSP/FPGA Design Engineer at Bird Technologies Group, focusing on the development of a digital signal processing chain for a 7.2GHz Spectrum analyzer. An early career as an Academic Researcher at the University of Calgary involved the development of a face detection algorithm using Wavelet transform processing and exploring various machine learning algorithms on FPGA platforms.
