Niels Anton Friis has a diverse work experience in various scientific and research roles. Their most recent position was as a Project Developer at BioXpedia A/S - Bioanalytical Service, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Biotest Facility from 2017 to 2023, initially as a Business Developer / Scientist and later as a Project Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing research projects, writing quotes and contracts, and handling license applications.
Before joining Biotest Facility, Friis had experience at Aarhus University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Niels Anton conducted postgraduate studies from 2011 to 2014, focusing on immunology, structural biology, directed evolution, and innate immunity. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant on the PROTEOMAGE project, examining molecular changes to the proteasome during aging in a Sino-European collaboration.
Niels Anton Friis has a diverse educational background in the field of biology and veterinary science. In 2018, they attended Aarhus University, where they completed a program in Laboratory Animal Science and obtained the FELASA B certification in Veterinary Toxicology and Pharmacology. Prior to this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology at Aarhus University, which they completed in 2009. In 2007, Niels Anton Friis participated in the DUO-Thailand Fellowship Programme at Suranaree University of Technology, focusing on Molecular Biology. Alongside their formal education, they have also obtained additional certifications, such as the Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile in March 2023 and the FELASA B certification from the FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATIONS in August 2018.
