Parisa Jafarzadeh, PhD, is a Project Manager with BIOVECTRA since August 2020, specializing in Research & Development Quality. Previously, Parisa served as a Research Scientist at the University of Waterloo from September 2014 to 2019, where extensive experience in good laboratory practices, risk mitigation, and material synthesis was developed under the supervision of Dr. Holger Kleinke. As a Teaching Assistant, Parisa led laboratory sessions for a total of 64 students, assisting them in experimental procedures and instrument use. Parisa's research included synthesizing and characterizing solid-state materials for thermoelectric applications and optimizing their efficiency for the automotive and space industries. An internship at Christie Digital Systems in 2017-2018 allowed for the enhancement of industrial knowledge and skills in the development of methods for growing silicon single crystals. Parisa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, obtained in 2019.
