Mukti Nath Mishra has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and molecular diagnostics. Mukti Nath started their career at JNCASR, where they completed their Ph.D. and focused on studying protein kinases in Plasmodium falciparum. Mukti Nath then joined Cancyte Technology Private Limited and Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre as a scientist, where they established a molecular biology and molecular diagnostic laboratory and developed various diagnostic assays for viruses like HIV and Hepatitis B and C.

After that, Mukti joined Bhat Biotech (P) Ltd.com as a Senior Technical Officer, where they led a team and developed molecular diagnostic kits for the detection of viral and bacterial diseases. Mukti Nath then joined Bioplus Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. as the Head of Metabolic Engineering, where they established a Metabolic Engineering Laboratory and utilized CRISPR-Cas9 based genome editing for the development of genetically engineered microorganisms.

In addition to their industry experience, Mukti has also been actively involved in academic institutions. Mukti Nath served as a Member of the Board of Studies and a Syllabus Sub-committee member at Anna University. Currently, they are a Research Board Member at Nehru Arts and Science College.

Mukti Nath Mishra pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Agriculture from Banaras Hindu University, Banaras, which they completed between 2000 and 2004. Subsequently, they enrolled at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agri. and Tech., where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from 2004 to 2006. Finally, Mukti Nath pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in Bangalore, which they completed between 2006 and 2012.
