Efrem Nigussu Tessema is currently the Director of Analytical Development at BioNTech SE. Prior to that, Efrem held positions such as Associate Director of Formulation Analytics and Assay Development, Scientist in RNA Formulation & Drug Delivery, and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Applied Dermatopharmacy, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Efrem also has experience as a University Lecturer at Addis Ababa University. Efrem holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biopharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, and Bachelor and MSc Degrees in Pharmaceutics from Addis Ababa University.
