Dr. Vischer is Member of the Board of BioMedPartners AG.

Dr. Vischer is Partner at VISCHER lawyer and notary offices in Basel and Zurich and, amongst others; he is president of the board of the University of Basel. In this function he champions for the knowledge- and technology transfer (WTT) with the goal to support spin-offs.

Formerly he worked for the Swiss Bank Corporation and for Bâloise Insurance where later he became secretary general.

Dr. Vischer was councillor and minister of finance of canton Basel-Stadt for 12 years. Since 2006, he is chairman of the board of MCH Group AG (Messe Basel).

Dr. Ulrich Vischer holds a Ph.D. in law from the University of Basel.
