Vasu Sah, Ph.D

Vasu Sah, Ph.D has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and research institutions. Currently, they are the Manager of Competitive Intelligence and Strategy at BioInvent International AB, a clinical-stage oncology company focused on the development of antibodies for cancer therapy.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Sah worked as a PhD Fellow in Immuno-Oncology at Sahlgrenska Cancer for Cancer Research at the University of Gothenburg. During this time, they conducted preclinical work on novel immunotherapies for metastatic uveal melanoma and played a key role in leading a Phase II clinical trial.

Before their time at the University of Gothenburg, Dr. Sah worked at AstraZeneca as a Senior Scientist and Scientist in the Molecular Pathology Oncology R&D iMED division. Here, they were involved in translational cancer immunotherapy research, biomarker development, and molecular pathology.

Dr. Sah also has experience in academia, having served as a Research Associate at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a research affiliate of Harvard Medical School. In addition, they worked as a Research Associate at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Division, where they were part of the Bio-acoustic MEMS in Medicine (BAMM) Lab.

Furthermore, Dr. Sah has interned at Infrahealth Group of Companies, where they examined research and regulatory trends in healthcare and evaluated new technologies in medical informatics.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Sah was a Graduate Researcher studying flow cell processes for an Ultrapure Water System and conducting research on bacterial nucleation patterns at the Industry/University Center for Biosurfaces at the University at Buffalo. Vasu also served as the Vice President of the Biomaterials - UB, SUNY Graduate Student Association, where they managed funding and travel for fellowships for graduate students.

Additionally, Dr. Sah has held positions as a Jr. Research Fellow at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Mumbai, India, and as a Research Assistant at the Ian Wark Research Institute at the University of South Australia, where they focused on developing anti-bacterial coatings for medical implants.

Overall, Dr. Vasu Sah has a strong background in immuno-oncology, molecular pathology, translational cancer immunotherapy, and biomarker development, with experience in both industry and academia.

Vasu Sah, Ph.D has an extensive education history in the field of medicine, oncology, and biotechnology. From 2018 to 2022, Vasu completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Medicine (Oncology) from the University of Gothenburg. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, they pursued Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) coursework in Cancer Immunotherapy at the Karolinska Institutet.

Furthermore, Vasu holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomaterials and Biotechnology, which was obtained from the University at Buffalo between 2011 and 2013. Their undergraduate degree, a BTech in Biotechnology, was completed at Amity University from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, Vasu also pursued studies in Bio-Nanomaterials at the University of South Australia.

In addition to their academic achievements, Vasu has obtained certifications in Experimental Microsurgery from FELASA C (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations), as well as in Publications and Citations from Google Scholar.
