Brian Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning over 23 years. Brian currently serves as the Vice President of Device Engineering at Biofourmis, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, Brian was the Vice President of Product Development at embecta from May 2022 to February 2023. Brian also worked as the Vice President of Mechatronics at ConvaTec from October 2020 to May 2022. Brian Murphy has an extensive education history. Brian earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from John Carroll University in 2002. Brian then pursued further studies at Wayne State University, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Smart Sensors and Integrated Microsystems, in 2005. Brian continued their education at Wayne State University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on Smart Sensors and Integrated Microsystems, in 2008. Following this, they attended Harvard University for a Postdoctoral Fellowship from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Medical Device Development and Microfilidic Drug Delivery.
