Natalie Phang has extensive experience in engineering, beginning with their role as a Research Intern at NASA Ames Research Center in 2006. Natalie then worked as a Lead Ballistics Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) from 2007 to 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Natalie worked as an Aerospace Engineer, Ballistics Engineer, and Project Lead at U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center. Most recently, Natalie has been a Senior System Engineer at Sierra Nevada Corporation since 2018, and will begin working as a System Engineer at Biofire in 2022.

Natalie Phang attended the University of Maryland from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Natalie then returned to the University of Maryland from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering. Natalie also holds a DAWIA Level 3 certification.
