Cristina Secades is an experienced conservation professional currently serving as Principal Consultant at Biodiversify, where the focus is on enhancing biodiversity sustainability through collaboration with businesses. Prior to this role, Cristina was the Technical Lead for Biodiversity & Business at BirdLife International, driving technical initiatives to promote biodiversity in business practices, and also held the position of Partnerships Manager. Other notable experiences include managing biotechnology projects at Universidade de Vigo, consulting on environmental assessments in South Africa with Site Plan Consulting, and providing technical guidance at UNEP-WCMC and the European Commission. Cristina's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Conservation Science from Imperial College London and a Licentiate degree in Biological Sciences from Universidad de Oviedo.
