Ilia Belotserkovsky is a seasoned scientific project leader with extensive experience in microbiota research, currently working at BIOASTER since March 2019, where responsibilities include the design and coordination of innovative collaborative projects. Previously, Ilia held the role of project leader for a start-up initiative, Shaker, at Genopole, building collaborative projects from inception and gaining insights into biotech opportunities. As a research scientist at Eligo Bioscience, expertise was focused on synthetic biology applications involving bacteriophages. Ilia's earlier research experience includes managing projects at Institut Pasteur concerning Shigella and completing a Ph.D. research fellowship at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, focusing on virulence in Streptococci. Ilia holds a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a certificate in project management from UNOW SPOC.
