Andrei Costin, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and information technology. Andrei currently serves as a Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor/Docent at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, where they teach and guides students in the master and bachelor programs. In addition, they are the Co-Founder and CEO of binaré, a company they established in 2020. Andrei has also served as a Technical Manager / Work Package Manager for LAZARUS_EU since 2022 and as a Work Package Manager for the EXTRACT EU Project starting from 2023.

Andrei has contributed to the field as an Independent security researcher and conference speaker, having presented at numerous international security conferences. Andrei is also a Co-Founder and Co-Organizer of JySec.fi, a community in Central Finland that focuses on Cyber and Information Security.

Furthermore, Andrei founded cetatenie.ro, a comprehensive portal for individuals seeking and obtaining Romanian citizenship. Andrei played various roles within the company, including back-end programming, social networking programming, management, and web-end maintenance.

Andrei obtained their PhD degree in "Computers and Networks" from EURECOM in 2015. Andrei'sresearch during their PhD focused on the security of embedded devices, under the supervision of Professor Aurélien Francillon.

Andrei Costin, PhD, has an impressive educational background in computer science, with a specialization in the security of embedded devices. Andrei earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from EURECOM in 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Dipl. Ing degree in Computer Science at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 2000 to 2006.

Andrei's journey in the field of informatics began in their earlier years. Andrei obtained their Baccalaureate/Bachelor degree as a Valedictorian from Liceul Universitar Republican Real in 2000. Before that, between 1992 and 1997, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics from Liceul Nr. 10 Stefan cel Mare.

In addition to their formal education, Andrei also holds a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco, which they obtained in 2004.

Overall, Andrei Costin has consistently pursued a strong education, acquiring a PhD in Security of Embedded Devices and building a solid foundation in computer science.
