Nick van der Hijden is a GNSS Engineer in the Space Unit at CGI Nederland since March 2022 and has been a Teambuilding Coordinator at Shintai Training & Coaching since 2018, organizing and executing training days for companies. As a Teacher at Bijles Aan Huis since March 2020, Nick tutors high school students in Math, Physics, and English. Previously, Nick worked as a Systems Engineer for Trajectory Optimization at the Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum in late 2020, developing a trajectory optimization tool for air-launching small payloads into low Earth orbit. From 2014 to 2018, Nick served as a Surf Instructor at Surfschool Hoek van Holland, teaching surf lessons to various age groups. Nick holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Space Exploration from Delft University of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in the same field. Additionally, Nick completed an MSc Thesis on Enceladus' plumes modulation at Delft University of Technology in 2021.
