John Gilkey has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. John began their career in 1990 as a Computer Specialist in Birch & Davis Associates and concurrently worked in Holt Public School District as Computer Support. In 1993, they became the Owner of Key Consulting, specializing in consulting services. In 1995, they transitioned to AMS Computer Stores as an Apple Macintosh Sales, Service & Consulting expert. In 1997, they became the President of Artemis Solutions Group, a role they held until 2019. In 2005, they joined NuWave Technology Partners as President and stayed until 2018. In 2006, they became a Member of Enliven Software. Currently, John Gilkey is associated with BIGGBY COFFEE, where they have held various roles, including Vice President of BRAINS Sphere and Integrator, before becoming the President in 2021.

John Gilkey attended Eastern Michigan University from 1992 to 1993, studying Information Technology and Business. John did not graduate with a degree during this time.
