Athanasios Foukis is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences since June 2019, bringing extensive research experience from the role of PhD Researcher at the University of Ioannina from June 2011 to February 2018, where participation in various projects, including the ERDF/NSRF 2007-2013 Cooperation initiative, was notable. Athanasios holds a PhD in Enzymology from the University of Ioannina, attained in 2017, as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Biochemistry and Immunochemistry-Microbial Biotechnology from the same institution, completed in 2011. The academic journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, earned in 2008 at the University of Ioannina.
