Cassandra Kosmidou, PhD, currently serves as an Investment Associate at Big Pi Ventures since June 2023. Previously, Cassandra held the position of Venture Associate at Start Codon from April 2021 to August 2022. Prior research experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the MRC Cancer Unit, University of Cambridge, and as a Research Assistant at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, focusing on cell death mechanisms and neuroprotection in the retina. Cassandra began their career as a Research Assistant Intern in Safety Pharmacology at Almirall, contributing to pre-clinical drug discovery. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Oncology from the University of Cambridge, an MRes in Biomedical Research from Imperial College London, a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from King's College London, and an International Baccalaureate from Anatolia College.
