Joey Sweeney serves as the SVP and Head of Growth Marketing at Big Cartel since May 2023, overseeing marketing initiatives for the e-commerce platform that empowers creators and small brands. Previously, Joey held the position of Vice President of Ecommerce at Simms Fishing Products from February 2022 to May 2023, where responsibilities included building eCommerce teams and managing digital marketing strategies. Prior roles at Backcountry included Sr. Director of Ecommerce and Director of Ecommerce Operations, focusing on P&L management, customer experience, and strategic execution. Joey's earlier experience includes roles at ExpertVoice and Backcountry.com, where skills in product management, corporate strategy, and financial analysis were developed. Joey earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Utah.
