James Modie currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, leading a team focused on building relationships and securing funding from various sources. Previously, James held several roles at United Way of King County, including Senior Director of Institutional Giving & Strategy and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, where responsibilities included engaging institutional partners and managing major gift donor relationships. James has also contributed to political fundraising efforts as a Finance Team member for DelBene for Congress and as a Senior Finance Associate for the Political Development Group. Additional experience includes marketing roles at the Center for Neighborhood Technology and Association for Portland Progress, as well as previous positions in sales and management. James earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from Lewis & Clark College and attended Saint Louis University.
