François-Maxence Desplanques

François-Maxence Desplanques has a diverse work experience in the field of special effects and procedural engineering. François-Maxence is currently working as a Senior Procedural Engineer at Bifrost since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Industrial Light & Magic as a Senior FX TD from June 2015 to October 2021. François-Maxence also had a brief role as a Senior FX TD at Double Negative from March 2015 to May 2015.

Before joining Industrial Light & Magic, they worked as an FX TD at Double Negative from August 2013 to October 2014 and at Industrial Light & Magic from November 2014 to March 2015.

François-Maxence also had some additional roles in their work experience. François-Maxence worked as a Coordinator and Day-in-review presenter for SCOOP at ACM SIGGRAPH in August 2014. François-Maxence also worked as a Coordinator for SCOOP at ACM SIGGRAPH in July 2013. Additionally, they worked as an FX TD at SupamonkS Studio in August 2013, at Reliance MediaWorks VFX from May 2013 to July 2013, and at MPC from March 2013 to May 2013.

François-Maxence Desplanques began their education in 2003 at the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. François-Maxence completed this degree in 2007. In the same year, they enrolled at the University of Bristol to pursue a Master of Science degree in Character Animation, which they completed in 2007 as well. Later, in 2009, François-Maxence attended Georges Méliès (EESA) for a part-time course focused on Application Development for Animation and Video Games, which they completed in 2010.
