Dimitris Tsiokos is the Founder and CEO of bialoom, a position held since December 2019, where the focus is on developing advanced diagnostic solutions for bacterial infections through innovative plasmo-photonic biochips. Previously, Dimitris served as Principal Researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from October 2012 to December 2020, managing R&D programs related to photonic systems and business development initiatives. Earlier roles include Senior Research Associate at the Center for Research & Technology Hellas, a Marie Curie Fellow at SAFE Smart Adaptable Surface Ltd, and various positions in research and engineering related to optical and photonic communications. Dimitris holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and additional degrees from Imperial College London and the University of Southampton.
