Mohamad Zaher Dernaika has a diverse work experience in the power generation industry. Mohamad Zaher is currently the Head of Power at BIA Group since 2023. Previously, they worked at Jubaili Bros as the Sales & Marketing Director for Powergen, Renewables, and Aftermarket from 2020 to 2022. Before that, they served as the General Manager at Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, overseeing the management of turbines, motors, gas compressors, pumps, and other rotating equipment from 2019 to 2021. Mohamad Zaher also held various roles at Cummins Middle East FZE, including General Manager Sales & Operations for UAE & Kuwait from 2017 to 2019, Power Generation Sales Manager from 2014 to 2015, and PowerGen Sales Engineer / Strategic Account Manager from 2011 to 2014. Dernaika began their career as a Sales Engineer at Jubaili Bros, where they sold generators to potential clients and built long-term relationships with developers, consultants, and contractors from 2009 to 2011.

Mohamad Zaher Dernaika pursued their education starting in 2003 when they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Université de Technologie et de Sciences Appliquées Libano-Francaise. Mohamad Zaher then continued their studies in 2005 and completed 2 years of Psychology at Lebanese University. In 2007, they attended UTBM where they achieved a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they attended Notre Dame University - Louaize (NDU) and successfully obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Management & Strategy.

In addition to their formal education, Mohamad has also gained certifications in Negotiations and Selling Skills from the institution Richardson.
