Jean Smets has extensive experience in management roles within the mining and water sectors. Currently serving as Business Unit Manager - Mining at BIA since January 2014, Jean previously held positions as General Manager at Advanced Watertek in Dubai, Operation Manager at CMI in Dubai, and Regional Manager - West Africa at BIA. Jean began a career in project management at Tractebel Energy in Brussels. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bradford and a Master in Electromechanical Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles.
