Tim Day possesses extensive experience in the mining industry, particularly with BHP, where tenure began in May 2008. Current roles include Vice President of the Resource Centre of Excellence and Legacy Assets and Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence, after serving as Acting Asset President for BHP Iron Ore. Notable achievements encompass leading record performances in safety, production, and cost-efficiency during the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully guiding the South Flank operations team to production at an 80Mtpa Iron Ore Mine in the Pilbara region. Previous positions include General Manager roles at Jimblebar Mine and WAIO Maintenance, as well as Mining Manager for Peak Downs Coal Mine. Prior experience at Anglo Coal involved managing the mining department for Dawson Mines. Tim Day holds a degree in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland.
