Clara Balasko, MSc, PE, is a seasoned professional in geological engineering with extensive experience in the mining and consulting sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Planning and Technical at BHP since February 2019, Clara has also held roles including Acting Head of Planning and Technical, Geotechnical Manager, and Principal Geotechnical Dam Engineer. Prior to BHP, Clara worked at SRK Consulting from August 2003 to February 2019, advancing from Consultant to Senior Consultant. Clara holds a Master of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Texas A&M University.
