SS Saravanan has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Design & Planning Head at Bharti Airtel since January 2007. Responsibilities include leading Radio Access Network (RAN), Microwave, Fiber, VoiceCore, and Multi-Protocol Label Switching planning teams for the Andhra Pradesh circle, managing spectrum re-farming, and successfully modernizing RAN systems. Previous roles at Bharti Airtel include Head of Radio Network Planning and Network Quality Lead, focusing on 2G, 3G, and LTE networks in various regions, contributing to significant projects like the launch of India’s first Ericsson U900. Earlier experiences include roles at Sasken Communications Technologies Ltd and Bharti Telenet Limited, emphasizing project management, network performance, and testing. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiar University and a Diploma in Database Management Systems.
