Raj Peter Bhakta is an accomplished entrepreneur with extensive experience in the hospitality and spirits industries. As the founder of BHAKTA Spirits since January 2019, Raj has been instrumental in shaping the brand. Prior to this, Raj was a partner at Apex at Vail: Holiday Inn, since May 2003, leading a successful redevelopment of an underperforming hotel in Vail, Colorado. Raj also founded WhistlePig Whiskey, contributing significantly to its growth until January 2019. In addition, Raj was a Republican candidate for the United States Congress in Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional district from August 2005 to November 2006. Early in the career, Raj served as an analyst at Violy, Byorum & Partner in 1999-2000. Raj holds a degree from Boston College and attended The Hill School.
